School/College Magazine Survey Results

Question 1: Which Gender are You?
All of the Respondents I collected where female due to my school being a girls school, so I thought this would be the best idea, as I know what they like and what they read.

Question 2: Which Year are You in?
All of the participants are either in sixth form or in year 11, as i would like to target the 16+ age range.

Question 3: Do you enjoy any extra-curricular activities? If so which ones?
3 of the respondets have said they enjoy listening to music, and the rest either do not have a hobby or just enjoy hanging out with friends.

Question 4: How Mmuch disposible income fo have have each week on average?


Question 5: Which type magazines do you enjoy reading for leisure?
The Most common type of magazine read by my participants are gossip, realisfe, fashion and music magazines, and therefore i would like to add an element of each of these into my school magazine as they have shown to be very popular.

Question 6: Are there any magazine that you enjoy reading for pleasure on a regular basis?
NME, Q, Kerrang and Heat are the most read by my interviewees, although i do not feel this would be very appropriate for a school magazine as i would like to appeal to the mass of the sixth form population, and i feel these are more of a niche market magazine.

Question 7: Would you been intested in a school magazine.
Half of the respondents replyed that they wouldn't be intested and one person replyed that they would if it was free.

Question 8: What would YOU call a school magazine?
They said that they would call it something informative about the school or the school magazine

Question 9: Would you be willing to pay for a school magazine? if so  how much?
As over half said they would not be willin got pay for a school magazine i have decided that i will not charge for it, although just create to money from advertisements inside.

Question 10: What sort of articles/pictures and information would you like to see in a school magazine?
